Dual Coded DAC/AOC Solutions
Bridging the gaps in a multi-vendor network infrastructure
Not every network uses a single manufacturer’s products throughout. Some may use Cisco at the core, Aruba at the edge, Palo Alto firewalls, HP servers, and EMC storage or a combination of many others. Normally when using a single vendor, these systems can be connected using that manufacturer’s Direct Attach Cables (DAC) or Active Optical Cables (AOC). But when multiple vendor systems are used together, that is not an option. Solution? Use GigaTech Dual Coded DAC and AOC solutions!
Utilizing a GigaTech Products dual coded DAC or AOC allows for such solutions as:
- Hassle-free connections between different OEM hardware brands
- Reduction of overall equipment cost
- Easy single item installation
- Cables terminated & tested at factory ensuring consistent transmission performance
Customized Dual Compatibility DAC Solution
Configure Dual Coded DAC Solution
Every DAC and AOC has a chip inside the connector called an EEPROM. This chip is programmed with information that the host system uses to identify and qualify the transceiver or cable. At GigaTech, we code these EEPROMs in house, allowing us to offer unique and custom solutions. Each end of the DAC or AOC can be coded to a different OEM compatibility, allowing for a single cable to be used between different manufacturer devices.
